We work with people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and genders. “I am the owner of Impact Health and Fitness Centre. I went to St. Clair College for the Fitness and Health Promotion Program, and I am a NFLA (National Fitness Leadership Alliance) Certified Personal Trainer/ Registered Health and Exercise Practitioner through the Ontario Fitness Council.

I used to play travel soccer, volleyball and danced for many years so I was constantly training or exercising for these sports. I am very passionate about Fitness and Health and I love working with people to help them achieve things that they never thought they’d be able to and help them get the results they want. I have helped many people lose weight, build muscle, get toned, improve flexibility and reduce body aches and pains through exercises and stretches that strengthen the body.

Candace has been with Impact for over a year now teaching and being apart of classes. Candace brings so much positive energy to Impact, as a Certified Group Fitness Instructor Specialist. She has the personality to inspire others to dive deep within and find their energy and motivation. She chooses to focus on group classes, as her passion is to create a fun and effective place for people to come and take care of their bodies.

For Candace, it isn’t about creating the perfect body but rather a healthy one. She truly believes that every individual deserves to live their healthiest life while enjoying real food, having fun with fitness and being amazed at what the human body is truly capable of.

Candace encourages her clients to find gym time that works for them, schedule it and don’t cancel on yourself. There is nothing more important than taking time for yourself and your health. She is a very busy wife, mother of 2 active children and a full-time professional. Her workout time may be earlier than many can fathom, but it works for her, and it is a priority to keep herself healthy and happy. Whether it be teaching her fitness classes, playing with different toys around the gym or training for her next race, she does it all with so much passion and positivity. Candace wishes for everyone to experience the feeling of achievement and allow themselves to be proud of how far they have come.

Mary-Ann is new to the Impact Team and brings with her over 15 years of experience in the Health and Fitness industries working with clients of various ages, fitness levels and physical limitations. She has a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.

“The idea of “being healthy” has a different meaning to everyone. Whether it’s eating properly, drinking enough water, lifting weights, practicing yoga or even just getting enough sleep, helping people achieve their health and wellness goals is – and has always been – something I have been extremely passionate about! As a wife and mom of two energetic boys plus a full-time career, I understand what an Impact a great workout can have on your day. That short period of time is an outlet to be social, relieve stress, become stronger both physically and mentally, boost self-confidence and increase your energy levels!

“I attended the University of Windsor, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (Honours Kinesiology) with Movement Science Major. I am also an NFLA (National Fitness Leadership Alliance) Certified Personal Trainer/ Registered Health and Exercise Practitioner through the Ontario Fitness Council. I have always been very passionate about physical activity, exercising and sports. I played sports my entire life and hockey at a junior and varsity level. I am a strong believer in leading a healthy, active lifestyle, and I take great pride in helping others achieve their goals. My goal is to create a fun, hard-working environment where members can enjoy themselves and meet their fitness goals and have a great time doing it!

I began working out at Impact Health and Fitness Centre with Faith in the fall of 2018 after being referred to the gym by a friend. I had been working out at the same gym for years and I knew I needed something different but I was afraid to make the change. A new gym, new people and new workout times did seem scary, but I needed to give it a try.

I signed up for an unlimited monthly membership and Impact with the motivation to try all of the classes, while still holding onto my current gym membership. Long story short, I fell in LOVE with all of the classes, with Faith and with the other members. I could not get enough of the place and I honestly did not want to go back to my previous gym so I just let my membership expire.

At first, I wondered why I would just waste that money but the workouts at Impact were so greatly planned out that I was seeing results, feeling stronger than ever and I looked forward to working out so much that running on a treadmill or hitting the elliptical just did not entice me anymore.

Joining Impact Health and Fitness has changed my life. With 40 quickly approaching and with that, a beach vacation, I knew it was finally time to make some changes. Frequently Asked Questions

Is anyone welcome to join?

Anyone ages 16 and up are welcome. We are open to helping and work with people of all shapes, sizes, genders, limitations, and injuries. Our personal trainers and group fitness instructors have the experience and knowledge you need in order to help you reach your personal goals.

I have a shoulder injury. I can’t work out, what can I do?

You are still capable of working out and exercising with an injury. Our personal trainers will sit down with you and discuss your injury to make sure that you can still workout comfortably and safely. It is important to contact your doctor first to make sure that you are cleared to exercise before starting any exercise program with a trainer or on your own. Your trainer will give you modified exercises that you can do, as well as exercises that are safe to help with building up the strength again within your shoulder. This is why making sure to have good communication between you and your trainer is important. In classes, if you are having a difficult time performing an exercise, then let us know, and we can modify an exercise for you so that you can still participate in the class.

I haven’t worked out or exercised in a really long time. What if I can’t keep up in a group fitness class?

The one thing that we continuously remind everyone during our classes is, you need to go at your own pace. Try every single exercise we give you. If it is too intense, or too difficult at the moment for you, then we are capable of modifying every exercise for you so you can still participate. Everything takes time! We constantly give you rest periods and breaks, and you are always allowed to stop and take a break, then just hop back in with the rest of the class when you are ready. All of our group fitness classes are open to all fitness levels. Impact is a non-judgmental environment. We have the best staff and clients and members that will cheer you on constantly. You are in good hands, and we are determined to help you get to where you want to be, safely.

Where can I see a schedule of all your classes?

If you go on your computer, tablet or phone to the Mindbody App, then you will be able to search up Impact Health and Fitness Centre and see our schedule with all the classes, class times, class descriptions and see which trainer is teaching what class.

How do I sign up for a class?

 If you go on your computer, tablet or phone to the Mindbody App, then you will be able to search us up, click on our schedule and book online right there from your device. You will be required to put in your name and phone number. Since we only have so much available room in our classes, it is important that you schedule your classes early if you want to be able to join the class. Signing up early through Mindbody will reserve your spot for classes.

I tried to sign up for a class on Mindbody but it says that the class is full. What do I do?

If the app says that the class is full, then it is full. You will, however, be put on the waiting list and you will be notified when someone has dropped from the class, and you will be put into that class. The waitlist does go by whoever signed up first, gets to go into the class first. Make sure to sign up early in advance to reserve your spot.

I want to start working with a personal trainer, how do I sign up?

You may contact any of the trainers or owner yourself inquiring about personal training. You may also email us, message us on Instagram or Facebook or give us a call. From there, we will set up your first consultation and meeting with your personal trainer to get you started with all the information that you need to know.

What are the age restrictions?

You must be at least 16 years of age or older.
