I used to play travel soccer, volleyball and danced for many years so I was constantly training or exercising for these sports. Is anyone welcome to join?
Anyone ages 16 and up are welcome. We are open to helping and work with people of all shapes, sizes, genders, limitations, and injuries. Our personal trainers and group fitness instructors have the experience and knowledge you need in order to help you reach your personal goals.
I have a shoulder injury. I can’t work out, what can I do?
You are still capable of working out and exercising with an injury. Our personal trainers will sit down with you and discuss your injury to make sure that you can still workout comfortably and safely. It is important to contact your doctor first to make sure that you are cleared to exercise before starting any exercise program with a trainer or on your own. Your trainer will give you modified exercises that you can do, as well as exercises that are safe to help with building up the strength again within your shoulder. This is why making sure to have good communication between you and your trainer is important. In classes, if you are having a difficult time performing an exercise, then let us know, and we can modify an exercise for you so that you can still participate in the class.
I haven’t worked out or exercised in a really long time. What if I can’t keep up in a group fitness class?
The one thing that we continuously remind everyone during our classes is, you need to go at your own pace. Try every single exercise we give you. If it is too intense, or too difficult at the moment for you, then we are capable of modifying every exercise for you so you can still participate. Everything takes time! We constantly give you rest periods and breaks, and you are always allowed to stop and take a break, then just hop back in with the rest of the class when you are ready. All of our group fitness classes are open to all fitness levels. Impact is a non-judgmental environment. We have the best staff and clients and members that will cheer you on constantly. You are in good hands, and we are determined to help you get to where you want to be, safely.
Where can I see a schedule of all your classes?
If you go on your computer, tablet or phone to the Mindbody App, then you will be able to search up Impact Health and Fitness Centre and see our schedule with all the classes, class times, class descriptions and see which trainer is teaching what class.
How do I sign up for a class?
If you go on your computer, tablet or phone to the Mindbody App, then you will be able to search us up, click on our schedule and book online right there from your device. You will be required to put in your name and phone number. Since we only have so much available room in our classes, it is important that you schedule your classes early if you want to be able to join the class. Signing up early through Mindbody will reserve your spot for classes.
I tried to sign up for a class on Mindbody but it says that the class is full. What do I do?
If the app says that the class is full, then it is full. You will, however, be put on the waiting list and you will be notified when someone has dropped from the class, and you will be put into that class. The waitlist does go by whoever signed up first, gets to go into the class first. Make sure to sign up early in advance to reserve your spot.
I want to start working with a personal trainer, how do I sign up?
You may contact any of the trainers or owner yourself inquiring about personal training. You may also email us, message us on Instagram or Facebook or give us a call. From there, we will set up your first consultation and meeting with your personal trainer to get you started with all the information that you need to know.
What are the age restrictions?
You must be at least 16 years of age or older.
